How should I fill this space?

I'm having a hard time deciding what coral or corals I should put on this center rock. I plan on moving the two favias that are there to other places. I'm thinking either a Trachyphyllia or acanthophyllia. With their size and color it will add quite a lot of pop to the tank. I feel like a scoly just won't fill the space enough. Any other types of center piece corals you would recommend?

Not really. It's going to be the center piece of our tank. Most acanthophyllia we have been looking at are between 400-600 cad. I forgot about the wilsos and cynarina. Thanks.

They can but I personally have not had that type of aggression with those like I have with some of the euphyllias.

I'm leaning away from torches because we have 4 at the moment on the left side rock. 2 of them are "fancy" the other two are more common.

I've started looking more into the cynarina. I do like the acanthophylia but the ghost like apprence of them is a very cool look.

I think you should consider color more than coral.

First off, I congratulate you, and not said sarcastically for posting a photo where the tank isn't awash in Windex blue.

Since you posted a more white enlightened tank, the range of colors in your tank is not strikingly dramatic. I would consider a coral (of any type) that is bright red or orange.

Not only will red or orange stand out against the black background and the rock work, but the such a dramatically different color than that of your existling livestock will make the greens and blues that you have now stand out even more.

In addition to the 'Big' addition you are looking for in the middle of the tank, be on the look out for some smaller bits of color to break up having too much of the greens and blues next to each other. Breaking up the blue/greens with little bits or orange, yellow, red will help make each coral pop a little more.

Lepastreas, Favias, Some of the radically colored Gonioporas all could really help boost the bounty of colors in your tank.

Thanks Dave, I run a modified ab+ program. Removed a lot of the greens and reds and keep it with more whites during the day for fish viewing. I only run heavier blues later in the evening to see the corals pop. . I will post some more photos of the tank to show what else we have. We have been planning on some nice goni's so maybe instead of a smaller piece we just opt for a larger one.

Here are some more of the corals we have. Sorry for some of the overly blue photos. My new phone seems to like to add extra blues while the photo is being processed. Im thinking of moving both the blood diamond and Ultron favia out of the center of the tank because I believe they are getting too much light. They aren't as puffy as I'd like and we spot feed them quite often. We just picked up the holy grail and blue orange(last photo) acan but I'm away for work at the moment so my girlfriend is taking after my tank.
