Yeah I didn’t think a HOB would be ideal anyways. So you’re saying I can just use the rock as filtration? We don’t typically use HOB filters. You will find just adding some decent live or dry base rock to the tank will house enough nitrifying bacteria to keep the tank running.
Correct, something like Marco rocks is what most reefers use. It used to be recommended approximately 1lb of rock per gallon, but realistically many get away with much less.Yeah I didn’t think a HOB would be ideal anyways. So you’re saying I can just use the rock as filtration?
So should I need a couple wave makers or is one enough?Correct, something like Marco rocks is what most reefers use. It used to be recommended approximately 1lb of rock per gallon, but realistically many get away with much less.
dont really use canister filters any more myself but there are some nice set ups out there first what are you wanting to put in it.i mean if considering what i already said you could run a small sump and that will give you the room you need for tour other equipment thats proably best but again what do you want to put in your tank.R
I was thinking a pair of clowns or a clown and a goby. I’m not entirely sure. But a canister might do well for this tank.dont really use canister filters any more myself but there are some nice set ups out there first what are you wanting to put in it.i mean if considering what i already said you could run a small sump and that will give you the room you need for tour other equipment thats proably best but again what do you want to put in your tank.R
