How should I plumb two 4' retail tanks stacked

I bought two 4' tanks each with 4 separate compartments, I want to build a stand to stack them but before I do that I need to know how I should plumb them.

The tanks are drilled through the bottom of each end no weir just open pipe.

Any advice is appreciated.

Are you doing a display and a sump or two display tanks?

You could just let gravity dump water from top tank to bottom tank, bottom tank to sump, sump to top tank via return pump.

Sump, its a clownfish grow out setup. Doesn't have to be beautiful just needs to work.
