I bought a moorish idol on friday. He is currently in hypo and has developed several conditions. The most oblivious is popeye. One of the eyes looks like it has an air bubble trying to escape. I can see a small patch of skin that looks like he has scraped against something and some of his fins are torn, tattered and one looks like something might be starting to grow on it. It is in good shape in the way of swimming around and eating great. Should I just let him go on his own or put him on a furan 11 treatment?
Thanks for any advise
Jeff

I’d let it eat for now. If it worsens you may need to treat. You may also want to source NFG either way, just in case of infection.

I would add general cure to the water.

Also be careful on overfeeding. I see a bunch of mysis stuck to the intake of the HOB filter. That will pollute the water quickly which you don't want at all especially when battling infections.

Just now looking at him and I swear it looks like a bubble Of air forming above each eye. Other eye seems to have gotten worst today. Won’t be able to get any cure all till tomorrow afternoon. I do have some furan2 here I could use?

Furan isn't going to hurt anything but make sure water quality is pristine right now. This will be your number one task. Moorish idols are a challenging species to begin with.

I will be picking up some erythromycin on my way home and see how mr. Popeye looks then. If a little better I might not complicate things with the antibiotics.
