I have a pretty budget friendly reef tank right now and this holiday season would like to see some of your recommendations on upgrades. I have a 29 gl tall tank, I have a 75 gallon aqua clear filter as a sump It is modified like inappropriate reefers one if you have seen that. I have a 45 dollar internal skimmer, I have api testing stuff, I dose nothing but feed corals reefroids. I have 2 nicrew hyper reef leds. I have two wave makers both like 30 bucks. I have a really cheap timer for my lights and yea thats basically my tank. Around a year running total and 7 months with corals. Livestock is one sixline wrasse, two clowns, and a bicolor blenny. Then a bunch of easy lps and softies. Anyway, what are some upgrades you would make to my equipment, I have saved about 450$ for this so keep it under that. This is my first post and exited to see some answers. Thanks!

Hi there - there are a lot of little toys you can buy and it's really just about trying to make your life easier. At least that's how I decide on what equipment to get.

One item that was instantly a huge improvement for me was an ATO. You'll be amazed at how helpful a Tunze nano ATO and a 5g bucket of RODI water can be. It immediately cuts your work in half, and helps keep things stable.

That would be the first thing I'd go for.

I agree. It may not be very exciting like say, new lighting, but very practical and beneficial.
