Hello everyone,
I have been out of the reef hobby for about 6 years now and it just amazing to me how electronics have become the normal for the reef hobby. Case in point, back when I was running the support equipment for my reef tanks you had about the same amount of cords running to receptacles but hardly any of the step down transformers, electronic controller gizmos that are powered from the step down transformers etc. LEDs lights were not in fashion yet, the computer brains eg. Apex had just came out and electronic dosers,( if you were not doing it manually) were big bulky items the size of soccer balls.
It is just amazing how miniature electronics have taken over our lives. Heck I'm writing this message from my cell phone, and come to think of it I can now be far from home but still be able to check my aquariums parameters!
