in the process of changing sand, i have the fiji pink reef grade sand, and i sucked out most of my original sandbed with constant waterchanges every other day, what would be the best way to add my new sandbed and would you considering cleaning it or keeping it the bacteria it came with in the bag

At the LFS I worked at we would use a piece of pvc pipe and lower it into the water, then slowly over the course of time (depending on how old the tank is and the size) we would add sand over the course of days, going slowly allowing for the new stuff to become cultured before adding more

I wouldn't wash live sand . The bacteria is a plus and you took out alot when you took out your old sand . Seems like I seen a video on YouTube on someone adding sand with a pipe like mentioned .

Most LS comes with a little pack of solution that really helps the sand to settle in. As mentioned go real slow so you won't upset your tank biology. Make sure not to cover up allot of debris in your old sand so you won't have die off.
