I'm not having good luck using the search function.

What's the best way to attach dragons breath to rubble? I was trying rubber bands but it eventually wears through/erodes through the algae and it detaches

I sold these at my pet store. Rubber bands harden and break. You DONT want to glue them as Gracilaria Hayi (dragons breath) will tear as they tear easily. Unfortunately it does not attach itself to rocks or substrate.
My success was was using white sewing thread tied loosely. The dragons breathe will encrust over the thread and take permanent hold.

I let mine float free. However, if I wanted to ground it, I'd get some pantyhose; cut off a leg; put sand or substrate in the toe; tie it up; give it a twist; cut a small hole in the empty section and stuff the halymenia in it so that most of it pokes out the top. It'll grow out from there and you can hide the hose behind aquascape.

I've been through the rubberband phase and you just end up with bands floating around the tank. Not optimal
