How to attach heater to mixing bucket

Ok I just bought a 32 gallon trash can to mix saltwater instead of using a 5 gallon bucket lol. And a got a 200 watt tetra heater

How can I get the heater to stay. I don't want to do any modifications to trash can do no glue lol

I guess the flow is moving it or something

whats your concern with leaving the heater where it is now ?

I would just suspend the heater mid level in the can and put a power head in there

I don't know if velcrow is reef safe or not but if it is use some super glue gel and glue it in place that way it can be removed.

+1 looks like my mixing container. I just let the heater hang halfway down the side and put the powerhead on the bottom with nozzel pointed up.

It comes loose where it is now and kinda, floats, around lol.
I've got the needle wheel pump on its, side so its moving the water on a circular motion which is what is moving the heater its a powerful pump

I have the same bucket and I suction cup it down to the bottom that way I can see the temp. I run a 100w digital heater at 77. Works great. When I make small 5g buckets I just hang it in.

Awesome. Its a floater then. Also any problem with leaving bucket mixing long term and just refilling when I get low?. I've got the loss sitting on it so I hope that helps with evaporation

Only issue is its on a non climate controlled room. Its a spare room we keep door closed and vent closed off to save on electric bill

Ok so it floats with the rubber protector on the end above water so I'm thinking I will tie a piece of fishing line around the heater right above the rubber protector and maybe tie it to something that will hold it down at the bottom. Any ideas of what I can use?
or other suggestions

Or is it ok to be upside down like that with the end above surface? I just thought it had to be submerged or it will beak

Could you use a zip tie and attach it to the pump somehow while leaving a little space in between? That would hold it down.

Or zip tie the two power cords together a foot or less from the pump..

How much water are you changing at one time and what size tank? I do 10% changes with just room temp water. You don't need to match the temp of the tank for 10-20% changes as long as the water is room temp. That is only about 10 degrees colder then the tank it will not even lower your tank temp more then 1 degree overall.
