How to avoid the splashy-splashy noises at the filter socks

I'm getting ready to plumb my first reef tank! Yay! I only have a vague idea what I'm doing! Nooooo! I think I can muddle through most of it on my own using the google and content searches on here, but one thing I'm not sure about is how I should do the drain as it enters the sump. I've got those BRS filter sock holders which hang on the top trim, so the socks are within a couple of inches of the top of the sump (40b). They're sharing a compartment with the skimmer, so there's not tons of room to change them out. So, how far down do I need to keep the drain pipes to keep that compartment from sounding like Niagara Falls? If I keep them short enough to make it easy to change the filter socks, they'll be high enough above the water line to make noise. If I keep them long enough to be about an inch or so below the water line, I'll have to scooch and squish the filter socks down the pvc to change them out.

Just thought of another question. I'm using the bean animal style overflow- do I split the primary siphon into two (one pipe for each filter sock), or do I direct the primary siphon to one filter sock and the secondary siphon to the other filter sock? That means one filter sock will always be getting dirtier faster than the other, though. And where can I find strainers/screens that will fit on a 90° elbow? Thanks guys and gals!

My tubes are even with water level and it helps with the noise. I also cut the bottom at a 45 degree angle. I saw that somewhere but can’t recall why.

You can also pressure fit the PVC no glue so that you can give a twist and remove the pipe with the sock.

You'll want the drain line right at the water line or slightly under. And yes you can t the primary drain to go to each filter sock just make sure your gate valve is before the T

BRS carries strainers you can also find them on EBAY or Amazon. You don't really want to T off your drain line. Just run each one into it's own sock. The best way to limit the noise will be to submerge the full siphon drain. Run your pipe down about an inch into your sump. Then as stated above pressure fit a coupling and a short piece of pipe to get it submerged.
