Hey Reefers,
I guess it was only a matter of time until this happened. Anyhow, I was gone for a week on vacation and my tank was left with a tank sitter. I came back to a tank overrun with bryopsis. I knew I had a little issue before I tried tons of water changes but that didn't seem to work obviously. Anyhow, I believe my only bet is trying to use Fluconazole, however I have no idea where to buy it and use. Please help! Thanks!

Just finished my fluconazole treatment...took 10 days, but on day 10 it started to die off. Did first wc at day 15, no hair algea or bryopsis on rocks, still a few small patches on sandbed. I'm not going to do a second dose as I'm upgrading next week to a Deep Blue 80 gallon.

can you tell me where you purchased it?

20mg per gallon so idk how big your tank is but the tablets come in 200mg tabs. @Beausoleiljacob i bought from there too i only got a confirmation email from paypal not the site.

TREAT ONCE!!!!! I wanted to capitalize that because someone wiped their tank trying to rush it. Treat it once 20mg per gallon.
Here's my confusion. I want to be crystal clear how to treat.

I have a 65g tank so i've calculated @ 200mg tabs i will need 6.5 tabs for my tank to treat it ONLY ONE time.

The thread suggest this below and this is where my confusion come in? Does this mean i treat every day for up to 14 days? 6.5 tabs/day for 14days?
Q: How long is the treatment?
A: 14 days.Maybe up to 21 days if you still have GHA present in the tank.

Treat once, you treat on your starting day. Lets pretend you just did your 6.5 tab treatment. Take your carbon out, turn off your skimmer or just take out the cup, and stop water changes. Watch the magic happen. Dont treat it more than that one time. Yes depending on your tank it may take 21 days but you dont treat it more that one time we (hypothetically) did today.

Thank you for your clarification and guidance!!!!!!

Sorry...one more question. Is this treatment hard on my 2-clowns? is it ok to treat with them in the tank?

I have some really weird and unusual animals. NOTHING was effected. Its also (if you read the directions in the big flucon thread) made to fix fungal infections in fish at a much higher dose more frequently.

Yea I was really worried too. I would hate to kill my weird stuff. Its all fine.
