How to block intake?

hey I have a nice fusion 10 and I am temporarily housing 2 very small occelaris clowns small enough to fit through the intake slits I have been watching them carefully but decided to put a net over the intake but know everything that would've been filtered is stuck on the net any ideas on how to solve this problem?

How about cutting some coarse sponge to snuggly fit on the other side similar to my JBJ's overflow slits. If applied, just keep yours higher than my setup.

The coarser the better for your particular setup. Just a thought, maybe?
