Hello, Does any body have an idea on how to prevent aggression on a FOWLR 120 gallon tank? I have the following fishes.

yellow tang
har tusk
french angel
blue gridled angel
niger trigger.

Thats a pretty aggressive mix for a 120. Any of those fish can have attitude, let alone the combination together.

Everyone having their own territory, breaking up sight lines, and feeding frequently. However, I would strongly recommend rehoming the french angel because there will be aggression between the angels and the french will eventually outgrow the tank.

thank you for that input. the fishes are pretty small for now. Once they get big i have a space for a 180 gallon long.

It's been my experience that once aggression starts among fish housed together for long periods there is really nothing that can be done. @4FordFamily has some good advice on the topic.

place a mirror on the glass near your most aggressive fish.

Change the aquascape around, make sure you have a good amount of rock to make caves and passageways. At one time I had a large Tupperware type bowl with a lid , drilled holes all over and let it float used it as timeout for aggressive fish. Sooner or later though you will probably have to remove a fish or two.
