How to capture best pictures

I am “new again” to saltwater tanks. I had tanks in the 80s and again in the 90s. But only fish. Two months ago i bought a used tank with fish only. Cycled good. I have added 2 corals 2 days ago. I am only using my I-Phone to take pictures and am not happy with the results. Pretty colors look grey to blue in the picture. How does everyone take good pictures?

Welcome to R2R! My iPhone and iPad won’t take a pictures either without using a filter or app.. I mostly use the aquarium cam app which works fairly well.

!!! Welcome to R2R @Wallace90g !!! I also take pics with my iphone 6 but the aquarium cam as @Retro Reefer mention works great. My wife has a Samsung Note 9 that takes wonderful pics on the Pro mode.

I have just been using the little tank to toss critters that I don’t want in the main display and also grow a little macro.. the cabinet it sits on holds my rats nest of wires and doubles as my control center
