How do I catch my lemonpeel Angelfish in my 180gallon reef without taking rocks out. I want to do an experiment and see if he is the one causing my corals to not extend polyps. I know there are traps. I am wondering hich ones worked for you all or what method worked for you all. Thanks.

Put a trap in the tank, bait it and wait for lemon peel to enter trap. Might take a few days.

Another way is shining. Some fish get "stunned" when shined with a bright flashlight at night. They can easily be scooped up while in a trance.

Put a tazer in your tank for a second will float right up. Jk

i have been trying to catch a flame angel for weeks with no luck. I caught him eating my coral so needs to go. Have tried traps, taking some rock out, food at the top and throwing net at it fast.......... no luck.

Small fishing hook and bait :). I heard someone do it before. I would wait till it's sleeping then grab it

You could always drain the water into another container to narrow down places where the fish can swim. Force the fish to one side.

its a 180gallon reef it is quite heavy haha
I also have a flam who hasn't touched anything yet hopefully i did not jinx it.

The Aquatic Life fish traps work well. I used one to catch a Mystery Wrasse.
