What’s the best way to trap an emerald crab to get it out the DT?
I have one that’s getting way too big.
My issue is I have lots of live rock. And I can’t catch it without tricking it somehow.

Mine often come out at night, so I waited until my lights were off and grabbed him with some coral pliers. That’s how I’ve gotten 2 of mine out in the past.

Mine used to wave it's arms for some food. I would push some flake food into his claw and he was happy. A big fish eater he will become for sure. Good luck catching him.

Mine hide in my euphyllias and come out at night. I would use a flashlight stun him and try to use tongs or a net. Theyre pretty fast though might take a couple of attempts.

I was thinking of making something like a ultra mini crab trap. Put a cube of food in it and wait a night to see what I caught :)
Just no idea how to make one so small.

The emerald crab is about 1 1/2” wide.
