How to clean a magnetic rock frag rack.

I bought a used magnetic frag rack that is like a rock shelf. How can I go about cleaning it before I stick it in my dt? Would you guys bleach it?

Is it currently dry? I'd probably just scrub it well and put it in use. I suppose that bleach won't hurt it but I don't know that I'd bother.

I'm not sure but I wonder if you could you use something like CLR to clean it? As long as you rinsed it really well it wouldn't harm the plastic

Step one, rinse thoroughly in RO. Step two, put in tank.

Seriously, I’m not sure you need to do anything else. Was it new? You can soak in RO for a few weeks, changing the water occasionally.

I soak my frag racks in white vinegar to remove coralline algae, etc. for ~24 hours or more. I dilute the vinegar with tap water, but don't measure the ratio... I also scrub with a soft brush occasionally to loosen the scale while soaking. Then I rinse with tap water and dry before returning to service. Hope this helps.

If you feel like you need to sterilize it or clean off all the algae soak it in hydrogen peroxide for a for half an hour or so. Hydrogen peroxide is safe if small amounts get in the aquarium, doesn't make secondary halides like bleach and is safer to use than bleach. But I would just wash it off as mentioned above.

Alright thank you all. I know it kinda a dumb question but my tank is only a 30g and don’t want to risk adding it without cleaning and it affecting something.
