What is the best way to clean a pH probe?

Or perhaps a better question:

Is there a simple way/process to clean a pH probe with chemicals reefers might have at hand such as vinegar or dish soap?

hi both will work,if you use acid, soak in baking soda mix, vinegar slower but safer

If vinegar would work, I'd rather use that. I also think I have some citric acid powder.

Does anyone know a good concentration of citric acid powder and rodi?

How long would you soak in vinegar? Citric acid?

Vinegar will work, but is slower and might weaken some types of plastic a bit. But I expect it will be fine as the probe is almost certainly made to withstand such a treatment.

stick with vinegar ,acid could burn hands eyes, lungs
