I have a couple Zoas that have allot of diatoms around them. While the diatoms look like they are starting to recede in my system I kinda want to help them off the zoas. What would you folks recommend for brushing off the diatoms? I’m thinking a toothbrush might be to rough on the soft tissue.

No. Get a turkey baster and just shoot them off with that. Way safer than using a toothbrush

I tried the turkeybaster no luck, I’ve used a baster on Dinos but these Diatoms are much more stubborn. I gently brushed them with a painters brush and got the stuff off. Hopfully they survive the abuse.
