How to clean micron filter bags?

Hey y'all,

Just wondering on how you guys clean your micron filter bags? I use the eshopp rectangle handle bags. I recently used a tiny bit of bleach and threw them in the wash for couple cycles. Though they are absolutely clean and bright white, the bleach smell remains and the bag is now a bit fuzzy even thought i didnt use a dryer. So i think i just ruined my filter bags lol

So how do you guys handle this?

I wash mine in my washing machine too. Whatever half the bleach fill line is on a cold long cycle with an extra rinse. Older washing machines you may have to run a rinse cycle before you wash them. I also let mine dry for 3 days before using. If i still smell bleach i give them a prime bath. 1 gallon of water to each capful of prime.

If you allow your cleaned filter socks to completely air dry over a couple two-three days any remaining bleach will turn to harmless salt.

I throw them in the washing machine and use Oxy-Clean -- Ready to go right out of the wash.
