Best way to efficiently clean the streaks of saltwater that leave a stain? Every time I get the stain damp with water I can see them, but once it dries it’s gone.

But I have some more saltwater on the glass.

For me, cleaning the glass is getting a clean wet microfiber rag. Wipe glass, salt spreads and makes everything worse, rinse and repeat until I’m left with invisible streaks that go vertical on the glass. It’s really annoying.

Confused to what you’re referring to as salt streaks .
if I let saltwater drip down the tank , it will dry leaving a salt streak

but when I clean the glass it goes away .
Vinegar , winded ( not sprayed in tank and paper towel .
I’ve read some use a squeegee

Imagine spilling some saltwater on the outside of your tank glass and then allowing it to dry. Then try cleaning it with a wet cloth. You should notice the tank glass getting murkier and cloudier as you spread the saltwater around. I’m referring to the outside of the glass in the entirety of this thread.

Is this an April Fools, lol

I normally use a damp paper towel and then a microfiber cloth and it's clean every time. I avoid using any household chemicals near the tank. You can always moist the area with a water bottle or damp towel and then use a fresh razor blade on the salty areas first and then wipe it down good. Some will say to never use a razor blade on glass. A fresh blade has never let me down in 30 years of door/window remodeling work.

Now I need to ask .
this is a serious question ?
Yes, it’s serious. :thinking-face: I’m sure there are others who have the same issue as me.

I’ll try some of the suggestions here.

This is what you’re talking about ?

it wipes off easy .
