I recently purchased a used 55 gal setup that I plan to use as a reef tank, which is what the previous owner did. It's a nice setup but having been in storage for a year or so, the tank/overflow box/sump/etc is in bad need of cleaning. I'd like to restore these items to as close to new as possible before begining. What is the best method? I was thinking vinegar and water but then what ratio would I use? Thanks in advance for the help. First post.
The warmer you can get the vinegar, the better it will work. Heating it up increases the acidity. Which means less scrubbing for you [emoji7]
