It's so easy to do with my Jecod RW-4 but no matter what I try with my MP10 I just can't do it, can someone tell me exactly what settings I need to use please, thanks.

Do you just have a single MP10? I would use the short pulse mode and adjust pulse length until you get the wave you're looking for.

Personally I'm not a fan a waves. Back and forth /random flow is what I aim for but a wave would seem to put some stress on tank structure and I'm not sure it adds anything to coral health.

Is this a new pump or did you get a used one from someone w/out the manual?
If you got used, here's where you can get the info.

Short Pulse is going to give you waves but just remember some tanks may not be able to deal with waves if not built strong.
Also a quote from Ecotech

"Wave Motion Warning
The generation of waves within your aquarium places additional stress on the aquarium glass and
joints. Not all aquarium tanks are designed to withstand this stress, and failure of the glass and/
or joints could result. You are encouraged, before generating waves, to consult with your aquarium
tank manufacturer to determine if the tank construction is adequate to withstand the additional
stress generated by the wave motion. You are also encouraged to assure that your aquarium stand
or furniture is adequately stable to withstand the additional stress resulting from wave generation.
EcoTech Marine DISCLAIMS AND WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR, damage to aquarium tanks or their
surroundings, water damage, or any other consequential damages resulting from wave generation.
MAKE WAVES AT YOUR OWN RISK."

I've got the setting I'm after now, thanks guys.
