How to decrease NO3 and increase PO4?

Live sand and dry rock.

When you talk 1/10 system you mean 10ppm no3 / 0.1 po4 ?
Yes and since you have dry rock, it's going to take a year for it to bind to the rock and stabilize. Mine swings .15 to .06 throughout the week. Do yourself a favor and throw that NoPox out bro.

What is your goal anyways? To avoid nuisance Algae? Get an algae scrubber and just chill. LPS doesn't care how high your nutrients get.
I need a hard number here for PO4 and NO3. You all make it hard to extrapolate :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Probably happens !

What do you mean? A number to shoot for? I already told you... .1phos 10 Nitrate. Use Hanna checkers and learn how to properly use them. Test weekly. Dose if you need to.

Read that thread if you want a masters class on how to use a Hanna checker.

Sorry Mikeltee, a little ribbing.

As long as I know the latest Redfield Ratio is 100:1 I can rest easy tonight :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

I ordered my Hannas - my tank can / can't still be 0

Probably happens !

Btw, do you guys know what these white dots can be on the back on my tank?

Oh, than its supposed to be fine, specially for my yellow wrasse

Besides, I also noticed a few tiny red spots at the base of two torches and on my GSP. I tried to scrape them off but it’s impossible. Seems encrusted. Should I be worried?

I would try to take a picture under good white light and start another post for this. Then wait for a coral expert to chime in.

I wouldn't miss any sleep until you get some answers.

These video are so interesting! I am learning a lot! Do you maybe have more videos?

If your ratio gets out of whack you can get cyano...

I don't think that either makes sense or has any useful evidence supporting it.

I'd edit it if I could. Go ahead and delete if you have permissions

I could, but since it is a common claim, I think it better the way it is.

There’s some weird freshwater N and P table that even in that setting makes no sense to me, but it is often reposted over and over by marine folks talking about cyano and N P ratios.
