How to disinfect around reef tank ?

Unfortunately, the flu season is upon us in Southern Indiana. several schools are closed for the rest of the week due to illnesses.

I've got two sick kids at home as we speak. Curious as to what would be the safest way to disinfect furniture. In the same room as my 125 gallon tank?

Before Having a fish tank. I always sprayed Lysol on the furniture, but not sure if that is safe Now with a reef tank roughly 6 ft away from furniture.

I myself would not. What i do is spray into a rag and then wipe surfaces and handles.

I second the idea of spraying it onto a rag and then wiping. I wouldn’t want to take a chance of the aerosol getting into the tank.

I use disinfectant wipes

Use the wipes or a liquid hand sanitizer on a cloth.
