how to do a lighting combo without blocking light?

Ive decided to do a 4 bulb t5 fixture and a kessil a350 for my lighting combo. I just realized that im going to run into problems. The t5 Canopy is going to block the light from the kessil. I know a lot of people use both. How do you set it up so that both the t5 and the led are lighting as much of the tank as possible?

You buy reed brite led strips for your t5 and leave the over priced kessil be, then buy more fish and coral!
