I wanted to know how to program my reef keeper lite to dose with my dosing pumps? i have the industeral size from bulk.

It's been a while but If I recall you want to use a switch for a dosing pump and use a timer function similar to the one for lighting. Come on for a few seconds then shut off for several hours. Then repeat. Having said this, I'd use a programmable dosing pump like Bubble Magnus. They are way easier and IMO more reliable. The outlets on Reefkeepers can get stuck in the open or on position. Pretty scary for dosing.

Have you read these yet? It seems like a great place to start. I have an RKL, but have never tried to use it for dosing. If you know the rate your pump adds liquid, and you know how much you have to add, you could just use it as a timer. Have it come on at 1:00PM, and turn off at 1:03 as an example. (Just making up numbers.)

with the reef keeper lite plus does it come with the desktop app so you can program everyone on your pc?

Reefkeeper lite controller is not reliable enough to trust dosing IMO. Yeah I know you can do it but IMO I wouldn't trust it. I've had too many times when my ReefKeeper program went nuts to trust it for something so critical as dosing. Use a BM doser or even one of higher quality. These devices are more reliable. No need for integrated aquarium control because you cannot measure the outcome using the controller. It's very different from pH. Until a controller can measure Calcium and Alk I'd not go there. Yes I realize the BM also cannot measure the in tank levels. I just have know the Reefkeeper sometimes does not do what its told.

I use a RKL for Calcium dosing. I have a 1.5 ml BRS dosing pump connected to it and I just set the timer for how many ml I need using recipe #2. I manually dose to get the required level and set my timer for a few minutes a day. I tested often to figure out how much time was needed to maintain Calcium and increased the time accordingly. Once I got it dialed in I haven't had to adjust it much. I only test once a week now and as growth increases I bump the timer up a few more minutes. I never could figure out that multi-timer thing. My growth really increased once I stabilize the Calcium level instead of letting it fall and rise with water changes and manual dosing.

Ritter that is really helpfull thank you dude! : ) I was told for some reason to get the levels up then wait a week to see how much it need to be dosed what made no sense to me, but that was what i was going to do. Your sounds eseryer.

I figured out how to do it! I have to set timmers on the plugin that it goes to in my RKL. Easy as that and once I find out how much I need to dose just adjust the timmers. way easyer than useing the cheapy timers that you plug into the regular outlet. THANKS for all your guys help! : )
