What's the best drill bit to get to drill Marco Rock and what type of place can you pick up acrylic rods locally?

Thanks!

talk to tuna_bullet he helped me out, concrete bit i think, idk size. rods i got locally at a place called SD Plastics, idk where your located. idk if they carry them at home depot

Any type of masonry bit would work for drilling into rock. I looked all over for acrylic rods around where I live and had no luck, in the end I settled with this place. Best price online that I could find and they were very quick to get my order out.

McMaster-Carr sells acrylic rod by the foot. 1/2" diameter and up. Around $5 a foot

You've already heard about masonry bits to drill holes. For the "rods," plastic coat hangers from the dollar store. Can't beat the price!

Rev, I used a masonry bit and fiberglass rod which is stronger than acrylic and comes white in color. I ordered it all through Mcmaster Carr and on the bit I bought one that uses a normal drill not a hammer drill. Goes through the rock really smooth and I just run water over bit while drilling hole to wash away the dust buildup.
