Rasping is physical removal of the top layer of rock using a mechanical tool (in woodworking a rasp) here you can use any appropriate tool that's abrasive enough to remove both the algae and the layer of rock below it, so that you can effectively also remove the holdfasts that the algae has embedded into the rock work.
Thanks. .... that makes sense [emoji4]

Oh just to put something back, I had a powder brown tang (since moved on as he was a serial killer) that ate it. In fact ate it over everything else. Maybe it was just luck on my side but I had none till he was moved on.

So, I heard before that there was some speculation that Kent Tech M worked because of trace amounts of lithium. Has anyone every tried treating the byropsis with lithium chloride? Just a thought....

I've never heard any definitive results from anyone regarding that. There's a thread in the triton forums but I don't think I have managed to wade far enough through it to see if it helped. I tried Kent tech M but it didn't seem to impact mine. I also didn't raise my levels as high as some people so there is that also.

I think I might have some bryopsis in one of my overflows. I may just remove some and put it in the QT with some lithium chloride. First however, I'd have to order some lithium chloride. lol

First you have to grow it on purpose. :D
