I didn't think my clownfish were thin, until I saw another post on R2R where someone posted a video of their clownfish and received replies that he looked thin. Mine look like him.

I got some LRS Reef Frenzy to feed to try and fatten them up. How often can I feed it to help them gain weight?

Their usual food is pellets (Omega 1 color mini pellets) and twice a week a frozen food mix (SF Bay brand with Marine Cuisine, Emerald Entrée, Plankton, and Omega Brine Shrimp). They are always good eaters.

They're getting plenty of variety and nutrition, but how often do you feed, and how much each feeding? I feed my tank as much as everything can eat in 2 - 3 minutes, twice per day, and they're all fat and happy.

Thanks for the reply @Mr. Bill!

I have been feeding once a day (in the evening). I put in one pinch of pellets. They usually eat it all in about 30 seconds. If I feed frozen, I feed about an 1/8 to 1/4" cube.

I guess I should feed twice a day? And more each time?

Forgot to include pics. Here they are (they ate a lot last night, so maybe they're a little fuller that usual...)

Yes, and yes. I start with a pinch, then keep adding smaller pinches until everyone is well fed. I only feed Ocean Nutrition Prime Reef flakes, btw.

Thank you! I'll check out those flakes. I've actually only ever fed them pellets for some reason.

I think it is not only to feed enough but also to feed the right stuff. Look at the food analysis of the dry foods. A good dry food should have a high percentage in fats as fish oils. High percentage means 18% or so. Food with high percentage of fish oil and PUFA will make the fish look better, improve stress resistance and general health.

Poor fishies! I feel so bad I haven't been feeding enough. Thank you for your help--I am sure they will appreciate it.
I feed a little in the morning before work (flakes) and a little in the evening (flakes and pellets).
