I brought home a bubble tip the other day for my 55, the only problem is it is not sticky. I don't normally feed my other nems however this one is not as bright as it should be. Any tips?
How to feed a non sticky nem?

You cant.. A non sticky anemone is not a good sign, is it bleached? you sure it is not sticky, BTA are not super sticky to begin with. But in needs nematocysts to capture and hold on to prey.
Usually a bleached anemone will be sticky at first then as they decline and can no longer produce nematocysts they wont be sticky anymore and at that point there is no point of return.
I have bought many bleached anemones and brought them back but they need to be sticky because they need foood once bleached.

Lfs says they never feed theirs either. It's just a little less then normal, my other nems are as sticky as duct tape but not this one

It tries go take bits of silverside but my clowns try to eat them and pull them out. Any tips?

When i have to I occupy my clowns at the other end of the tank and then try to slip the nems some food. Usually though my clowns will take food to their hosting anemone.

Some people do not feed their BTA's .. I have always fed my anemones, I have always felt that when I feed them they seem healthier, more colorfull, grow faster, split more and spawn..
Yea some clowns are bad. Try and feed them first but most likely they will still do it. sometimes they think they are helping by cleaning the anemone.
I have a pair of clowns that are bad right now. They steal its food and are too rough on my anemone and are killing it as they get larger. It is a pair of clarkiis and one is a golden eye clarkii. Anyone want a pair of clrakiis? They have to go.

I always feed my sebae, the clowns let it eat. With this bubble tip they take the food over to my sebae, I think I'm going to try to feed after lights out.

They are not as sticky feeling as other nems, but as long as it responds to meaty foods I would feed it once a week or two. But if its bleached then I would do it twice a week very lightly with mysis or a strip of shrimp or fish. May help to turn off pumps and feed the fish/shrimps first so the nem has time to eat with out being bothered.
