How to fight off my bryopsis problem

Bryopsis has been growing in my sump for quite a while and i can't get rid of it!! Ive been doing large water changes every two weeks. My tank is 55 gallons with a 20 gallon sump. All my levels are at 0 ppm.

I also have this red looking algae on my rock and my rock also looks very dark or almost black. Heres some pictures

Water changes feed it, so stop. I would do a blackout of your sump for starters

The algae on rocks is Cyanobacteria. Try manual removal of both weekly and that will help. To remove the Cyanobacteria use a hose to syphon it out during water changes, the algae will fall off very easily.
If it is truly bryopsis use fluconazole like said above. Looks kind of like hair algae but idk.

Yup. Worked wonders with me and no ill effects. Easiest fix ever. (well, you will gain other algae if you have an unresolved nutrient issue)

Increased magnesium helped with my bryopsis issue too. Had to use Kent’s turbo mag.

I'm unaware of any solution for bryopsis, if it's truly bryopsis, other than fluconazole. It's an absolutely fantastic cure. And I mean cure, not treatment. It will eliminate the species from existence in your system... Until you reintroduce it, ha.
