How to frag nemastoma?

Hello! I had some nemastoma pop up in my tank. It is out of control now and is creating a dead flow space in my tank. I need to trim it back. Is there a specific spot to cut it at .. do I cut it all the way back to the rock it's attached to? Do I super glue it to a plug or rubber band it? I appreciate any help! I really really like the stuff and I don't want to mess it up or kill it but I need to trim it back some how. Thanks!

Well now I'm super interested. Apparently this is both a genus of bug and genus of algae.

Big bug in your tank, eh?

Any place will be fine, I’d use super glue once cut they won’t attach to the rock again unfortunately

Lol funny you say that because when I googled it to make sure I was spelling it right a picture of the bug showed up too. I had to click on it lol.

Well.. it's not all that big for a big tank but my tank is only a 16 gallon and it seems to be growing fast. This is a pic from the beginning of September when I first noticed it.
