How to get a good Picture ?

Hey reefers,

As we all know getting pictures of the tank is almost impossible especially under the blue light. Is there anything you guys use that helps take a good picture? I heard that a yellow film may help? I would really appreciate it because I want to take pictures of my beautiful tank but it's so hard. Thanks everyone!

You could use gel filter. Here's the one I use. Got a set of them on eBay for five bucks.

Top left, 85B (orange) filter
Top Right, sunglasses (polarized I believe)
Bottom Left, yellow safety glasses
Bottom right, no filter

It's a Tiffen filter for my camera, and be careful searching amazon for a 85b gel .

The orange filter gives the best picture, but I was surprised how well my sunglasses worked.They are a bronze/brown tint.

Would a Backscatter dive filter work? I have one for my GoPro. I may try that and see, same principle.
