I've seen some clownfish for sale that would make a 10gal look big, let alone a 30gal. There's no such thing as giving an animal too much space, but too much /open/ space, with a lack of hiding places, can wind up being intimidating for fish.

That's an interesting video (and also a really cool tank; can't believe he's had it for so many years). I'll look into some live food options as I get more livestock in the tank to eat it, and maybe try some of that LRS frozen food in the meantime.I totally get your worry. I have not read the other replies so maybe some of this has already been said. I have a 32.5 as well.
I discovered something recently that has changed how I look at my tank and introducing new fish. What is in the food plays a major part.
As far as getting the clown to eat. Don't worry. It will. Get a big pipette and try getting the food generally close to him, frozen food will do the trick.
Fish can also survive for long periods without food.
BUT please consider this. I know there are many ways to do things, but this is something that I feel is criminally under appreciated.
I learned recently from a video of Humblefish and Paul B that gut bacteria is the most important thing for a fishes immune system and we deprive our fish of food with good/probiotic bacteria. I would highly recommend checking out this video
It genuinely changed the way I look at keeping fish.
I recommend getting LRS frozen food since that is the only brand of frozen food with probiotic bacteria and has a lot of other oils and properties that make the quality unmatched.
Consider the live foods with the bacteria as well for the future, especially if you want to add more fish especially Dragonetts or Wrasses.
oki thxMake sure the tank is big enough so as not to stress it. He may be a bit big for baby brine shrimp. Try mysis or another frozen food. If none of that works, you might want to make your own thread- a tang that won't eat is different than a clownfish that won't eat.
