So a little while a go I had quite a few pieces of sps corals, different montipora types, stylophora, birds nest and a couple of acropora and without warning over the course of a couple weeks they started to die it started with the stylophora and eventually they all died I couldn't really explain it at the time all parameters were okay I'd had some of the monitpora colonies for a couple years and had grown them from frags. Anyway after that it put me off sps other than the odd cheap frag from ebay which died again I don't know why. Its been atleast 4 or 5 months now and I really want to start adding sps again I'm looking at buying a montipora colony to start but I'm a bit worried itl just die.
If it was a pest or some sort of bacterial infection is 5 months enough time for whatever it was to be gone and is there anything I can do to check before adding another coral thatl just die?
