How to get Red firefish from hiding 24/7?

I thought mine was dead but saw him briefly for a second last night. Any suggestions on getting him back in open like he was when I had a purple with him?

My chainlink eel who stays on the other side of tank and a carpenter's flasher wrasse, they have been together for over a year but around Oct 11 he went to hiding, a week or so after the move. Same tank, just different aquascape, something I'm about to work on more today.

Typical behavior. Some people even report them going into hiding for no reason at all. It'll eventually get accustomed to the new surroundings and start coming back out.

Ya, some time and a new "friend" may be just what he needs.

All the commotion of moving andaquascaping will cause themto hide for prolonged periods. Letting everything settle and peaceful, outgoing tankmates will bring it back out.

Give him time. My Firefish went into hiding when I added 2 Wrasses to the tank, although he wasn't harassed he stayed hidden for almost a week before I saw him. Eventually he would come out for feeding and now he's starting to come out a little bit more here and there. I added the Wrasses two months ago and now the Firefish is starting to feel comfortable and come out more and more.
