How is the best and fastest way to get rid of red algae?

I was fighting it shortly after battling GHA, the cause of mine was bad flow/no flow or at least that's what I'm blamming it on. I forgot to turn my power head back on after a water change. I done a couple of water changes, a little chemi pure elite and a poly pad and it went away fairly fast.

After fighting it for over six months in two tanks, I gave up and starting using vibrant. I’ve been using it for two weeks and I’m very impressed.

I had to move my refugiums to another tank, which has been a pain.

Syphon it out.

Addressing the cause of cynobacteria is a challenge. Because cynobacteria manufacture it’s own nitrogen, thus outcompeting other algae, I add ammonia to help other algae to outcompete Cynobacteria.
