Hey guys!
I have had these G-Hornets for a little while now.. And thought I'd try to frag them about a month ago.. I did it the only available way I had.. And that was with a razor blade :/

My question is.. Before this the skirt fully opened as you will see in this picture..
It's been about a month or so.. And they have never been able to re open it seems. They are in the same place they were, they open and close as normal. Just never the same.

Any suggestions on how I can get these bad boys to fully open again would be great!
Thank you!

Could be from a change in water, flow, lighting, etc. I always frag with a razor blade unless I can just cut the rock the zoas are growing on without doing damage to any zoa bodies. Does the original colony you fragged from still open as big as before? As long as they are growing and look good I wouldn't be concerned.

Not really sure... Water hasn't changed, flow, nor the light..

That is the colony I fragged from..
The first picture, the skirts actually opened and laid flat, now it just seems like they open 3/4th's the way.. The skirts don't seem to extend like they used to..

I just didn't know what the response was when some zoanthids "don't like being fragged".. It just makes me concerned to try and frag again some other time :(

I'll go with the iodine dip!
I'm due to get some new zoo's from planet zoa in the next week here and I'll just do em all at once! I haven't noticed any aptasias or mahonas in my tank.. So we're good there!

Thanks for the tips guys!
