Hi reefers,

I'm about to get 4 inch colony "carpet" of GPS, I want it to glue it on one of my rocks inside tank. How can I glue it the best? I'm not sure superglue will work wet coral and rock? Eoxy, at another hand, I never had any luck with it to hold anything on rock?

Any advices recommended.

Thanks

The coral you get is going to be attached to something already right?
I'd just put that on top of or next to the rock you want it on and let it spread over time

I just use super glue for sticking frag plugs on to rocks

What is the colony mounted on?
can you remove the rock for easier gluing?

I usually will make a sandwich using both epoxy and superglue. You just make your ball of epoxy and glue that to the plug or whatever the colony is mounted on. Then you put some glue on the Other side of the epoxy and put on rock.

It's gonna be just coral, pilled out from rock or tile.

I want to glue it to rock, I know flow or other inhabitants of the tank will take out from rock if there is nothing to keep it glued.

Yes, I can remove rock out of tank. So, should I put epoxy on coral or over rock?

Got it. Looks like it's gonna be messy work, but I will try it if you say it works well.
It will. Although, as Fishyjoes mentioned above, it may not be necessary. My GSP colony below is about 5” in length. It was mounted on a rock and I just set it in the tank, as I will likely move it soon.
