Ok so I have 3 tanks and would like to turn that into only 2. I have a 10, 40BR, and 72B with the following stock list.

10 Gallon: (FOWLR)
1 Royal Grammah
1 Maroon Clownfish

40BR (Future Frag Tank/current ugly mini display tank)
1 Platinum Clownfish
1 Snowflake Clownfish
1 Lawnmower Blenny

72B (Display Tank)
1 Yellow Clown Goby
1 Melanarus Wrasse
1 Purple Tang
2 Black and White Clownfish

Basically I would like to break down the 10 gallon because I find it doesn't get much love, it's not in an area where it gets appreciation, and I do recognize that it's a small tank. Initially the 2 fish in the 10 were in a 30L, but that tank began to leak. I am planning on putting the Royal Grammah into the 40. The only fish that I still would like to put into the 72 is a Flame Angel and then I will consider that tank "complete"(for now...).

I have a feeling if I add the Maroon to either of the tanks then they will fight with the clowns that are pre-existing in there. I wouldn't be opposed to adding the 2 clowns from the 40 into the 72, but I don't know how that would go considering that it would be 3 ocellaris and 1 percula. Would the 3 clowns gang up on the 1? Then I would be able to add the maroon to the 40 and he could have it for himself. Would it be possible to add all of them into the 72 and have them get along?

I know that this is all hypothetical as we have no idea what the actual fish would do until we introduce them into the tank, but maybe someone will have some ideas. I would also like the add the platinum and snowflake share 2 RBTA anemones that are on one small rock and swim around together all the time. I would like to remove one of the RBTA's and have the black and whites host it. I have heard some people having success putting the clowns and anemone into a bowl of water, basically forcing the clowns to swim through them anemone getting used to it. I would like some suggestions in that department as well if knowledge is available.

Your better bet might be to rehome either the maroon or one of the other pairs. Clownfish generally pair off and defend against all comers, and I think if you try to add a clownfish to a tank with any pair in it, things will not go well.

As for getting them to guest in the anemone ... my pair of ocellaris hang out by the top of my left-hand overflow, while my LTA sits empty at the bottom of the right-hand overflow.

Clownfish.

Well I ended up going ahead and partitioning off my 40 gallon. I figure that even a 40 gallon where the clownfish and grammah only get ~33% of it will still be an upgrade for them. After a couple months I plan to remove the partition as I believe the aggression will be settled out by then, but for now we will see how things go. Also this is my future frag tank so I don't really mind the fact that it is not the prettiest.
