im kinda new to the saltwater so i hope you can help me out.

i have a JBJ 28 Gallon Quad
and its running for 6 months now.
for some reason i cant grow any coraline algae.
the live rock are still bleach color

Sorry typo.. Lol

Have you added anything to your tank that has coraline on it to "seed" your tank? If your afraid of adding live rock because of pests, you can get s piece of rock and scrape some coraline into the tank. Still it can tank a while to get going.

Usually things like snails or corals that you add to the tank comes with some coraline alage you could always ask a friend or some one near you to gave a small piece of rock with coraline algae to seed your tank

i havent add anything but im going today to my LPS to get some and one more
do i need to buy those calcium booster?

You need to watch your Calcium, Alkalinity and Magnesium.

Unless you have a lot of hard corals using up your calcium, you should be fine as most salt mixes have enough.
My tank is 2 years old... Lots of coraline on the glass, not much on the rocks. My skimmer in the sump is covered in it.....go figure.

I think there's some thing to the skimmer thing may be its the water qualiy in the skimmer or the oxygen. I can't get it to go on the rocks either.,
