So I recently added a Flame tang to my tank that currently also has a Powder Brown Tang and Hippo tang. The PBT has really been having a go with this Flame tang and has done some serious body damage and fin damage. I have rearranged my scape, have been feeding heavily a variety of foods daily etc and the aggression has come off somewhat; however, this flame tang is rather best up. My question is, I have a QT tank in which the Flame Tang came from, should I move him back and rehabilitate him / how / what is best to treat him? Because at this rate he is definitely going to be getting an infection due to his damage most likely.. thanks everyone!

They heal and repair themselves rather quickly-naturally. If it is severe, obviously separate the aggressor and melafix will help it heal well

If you can place a secure divider between the two tangs, that may give them a chance to "get to know one another", while keeping them from killing one another. Any sort of social acclimation box large enough to hold a tang would also help.

If you return this guy to QT, you'll encounter the same problem on reintroduction - but it might buy you enough time to develop and implement a plan.

Thanks guys! Appreciate the input! Initial plan was to quarantine 2 tangs but one died during QT so my plan to divide attention into 2 new incomers failed!
