How to ID new xenia?

Bought this yesterday as a pom pom xenia. A friend says it's actually a pulsing xenia. Both species look the same to me. It's actually a pinkish tan color but my blues make it look purple. Can anyone clarify the difference?

Thanks! I realized I posted it in the wrong section, but couldn't figure out how to delete it. It turns out it's a pulsing xenia after all.
