How to identify my octopus

I'm jealous, I've wanted an octopus for a while, shame they have such short life spans. I'd love to have a 500 gallon tank with a flamboyant cuttlefish colony someday, I feel like that be a neat reef tank.

I was actually considering setting up a cuttle fish tank recently. I find them so fascinating. Once I found out that they will eat any fish, I decided against it. I didn't want my 180 to be a species specific tank. Plus they live very short life spans. I hate when pets die, and being a cuttle fish is very smart, it would almost be like a dog in a glass box. I wouldn't want to deal with such a cool pet dying every year.

I used to breed Sugar Gliders when I was younger. Very cool animals, and very profitable.

I feel that with 500 gallons (maybe it would have to be 1000 though), breeding a small cuttlefish species wouldn't be terribly difficult, I think that while you may have to care for the eggs and young separately, you could maintain around 25 cuttefish in the tank. It'd be really cool to see.
