Ever since I ran full stream on my CalRX, my Kalk is no longer able to increase PH.

My PH starts off at 7.84 and tops around 8.10-15 or so.

Evap is close 3/4 gallons a day. Do I increase it to 2 tbsp per gallon?

Perhaps I should increase the drop rate instead? its 1 drop per second.

What are you doing now? 1tbsp per gal? 2 would be fine. You can also make your kalk even stronger if you add vinegar.
Randy did a classic article on that somewhere....

can’t get the url working but it isn’t hard to find

A properly tuned CaRx shouldn't have much effect on display pH.

Only 2 teaspoons will dissolve in a gallon of RO. 2 tablespoons will be 3 times that.

It will lower pH, though.

Only until the CO2 is degassed, correct? That can be managed by several methods in the display, or you could even deal with the effluent before it hits the display.

Well, if you degas it up to tank pH before it enters the tank, yes. That solution will be very prone to precipitation at such a high alk and pH.

Dealing with it after it hits the display means it lowered pH, and you did something to fix that low pH. Same as any low pH cause.
