Hey all so my tank is currently cycling and I’m on day 3. I haven’t got the algae bloom yet and I know I shouldn’t be chasing numbers.
So here is my question. I’m trying to raise my ph levels in the tank closer to the desired 8.2-8.4 range. It’s currently at 7.9 when I checked yesterday.
my end goal for tank is to have 3-5 fish some coral and a couple anemone
my tests are as follows
Salinity 1.023
Ph 7.9
Ammonia .25
Nitrite 0.0
Nitrate 5-10
these tests were done yesterday 5/4/2020
now about my setup. Biocube 32g all stock, I have added a power head to increase flow and surface agitation. In the middle chamber of sump I was filtering with the carbon that came with tank. Today I switched it out and I’m now running at the top filter floss and on the bottom bioballs to house bacteria. I purchased the rock used and they said it has been out of the tank dry for over 6 months. I purchased 20# of wet live sand. I sprayed the rocks before putting them in tank.
Here is tank.
