Hi,

I just received my ATI 36 inch Dimmable and have couple of questions.

1. What is the optimal space between the tank and fixture? The tank is 47 inch long, the fixture 36 inch. It will be mixed reef. 10-12 inches?

2. How secure is included anchors for the drywall? What is drill size to make a hole?

3. I have 4 blue+, 1 coral+ and 1 purple+ bulbs. What is the best order? Like front to back:

1. You should get the 48" fixture! If you still can change, I would prefer to get the normal (non-dimmable) Sun power. No need for dimmable IMO.
Yes, 10" to 12" max. from water surface.
2. You better get to a stud. I never trust dry wall anchors for my lights in the long run! Get the drill bit accordingly to the screw or anchor you will get.
3. Up to you for the placement of the bulbs. More important: I would change that Purple Plus for another Coral Plus, to a True actinic or another Blue Plus instead.

I want 36 inch bc I want low light corals on the corners and dont want light splitting in the flow.

I want dimmable, bc I want 1 power cord.

I use also Reefbrite XHO Actinic, for that reason I tried Purple+. Maybe I'll add another Reefbrite XHO.

It's hard to install it on struts, the light just doesn't line well and I cannot move the tank :(
I used included anchor, hope it'll hold well. But first time it almost fall, bc anchor doesnt opened well. ATI must be clear about this, but there is no manual included.

If you have access to the attic you can measure the distance from the wall in the room, go in the attic and place a wood piece between the 2 studs and screw the wood on the studs. That way you can use stainless screws to hold the fixture to that wood,
But you already did with the anchors, so relax and enjoy.

You can get Blue Plus bulbs to substitute that Purple Plus, if you want.
No need XHOs at all IMO. Blue Plus will give you what you need in terms of "actinic" and "blue pop".
