It should be simple I think that’s the reason why Ecotech didn’t include an instruction I guess.

But instead of regular Philips or flat head screw, it comes with a twist screw that has a hole to run a cable and a nut. Do I install the nut under the bracket hole? So it will be in the following order: light, nut, bracket, and screw?

This is how it look like

Are you attaching the fixture to the RMS arms or suspending it via cables?

The screws that you have pictured are for suspending the fixtures. You do not use the X-bracket when suspending the fixture.

if you are using an RMS arm then you would need to use the Phillips screws included in the RMS kit.

No I am doing DIY light mount. Oh man, so the screws are only supplied if you order RMS mounting arm?

My RMS adapter kit only comes with two screws

It is unbelievable that EcoTech @Tim at EcoTech did not include screws to attach x-bracket to the light? I don’t see option to order the screws too. I don’t want to get the whole mounting arms just to get the screws only.

Any ideas?

I just went out to store and got M5 screws. The issue is solved!

Glad you got the issue solved. I ordered of the slides for the gen 5 and all 3 packages contained the proper screws. Must have been a packaging error, somewhere overseas.

I think you may have understood what I am looking for. I have the screws to attach the new slide for gen 5 to mounting arm or railing.

But, what I was looking for is the screws to attach the bracket to the light. Ecotech confirmed with me that they don't ship more screws as they assumed that people still have the old screws.

Deleted as Ecotech did not make it right

Sorry.
I figured the screws to attach the slide to the light were these ones ( 2 showing).
Anyway, it's great they are making it right.

new update - Ecotech wanted to charge me for shipping and handling to ship 8 tiny screws to Canada after I spent thousands on their pump, wavemakers, and lights. It literally will cost them stamps just to ship these screws. These screws should have been included anyway when someone purchase lights or adapter kit.

They left bitter taste.

I can understand being unhappy with them. I can relate.
And I do have to apologize to you. I just opened several gen5 slide packages and saw that they didn't provide the 4 screws needed to attach the lights. The screws I saw before in the package were for putting the 2 pieces of the RMS together.

Yep that’s why I was asking around on here.

but I found the screws and I updated my DIY LIGHT MOUNT with picture and more information
