If they are growing on rock and you can’t pull them off in sheets just use a small brush and scrub them off the rock.. I just do a small section at a time because it tends to temporarily make tank mates mad.

Ive had good success with other stronger stinging coral as barriers. Some like torch corals and elegance coral always keep mine gsp at bay. Kind of like a natural barrier

put mine on the back wall under heavy current. So far has kept them from expanding much.
